Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of artists on the technical side to ensure high-quality output
  • Develop 3D models, animations, and transitions specifically for drone shows
  • Run physics checks, implement corrections, and develop take-off and landing sequences
  • Create static and animation preview renders and assemble ready shows for flight
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Project Managers, and Sales Managers
  • Manage day-to-day team operations, including evaluating artist schedules and workflows
  • Help team members solve production problems and maintain technical standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Design or 7+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in drone shows, motion design, game-dev (TechArt/Real-Time VFX), or VFX
  • Proficiency in Houdini and Blender
  • Proficiency in Compositing (AE, Nuke, or Fusion)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Deep understanding of CG animation pipelines and physically based simulation techniques
  • Strong team management, leadership, and delegation skills
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive workloads in an organized manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TouchDesigner
  • Proficiency in Redshift or Octane Render
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
