Lead Counsel, Commercial

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the US commercial legal team
• Manage a portfolio of enterprise deals
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
• Align US practices with global legal strategy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure legal guidance supports business and technical objectives
• Provide practical, risk-calibrated advice to senior leadership

Requirements

• At least 10 years of commercial legal experience
• Active bar membership
• Proven experience in legal team management and hands-on deal execution
• Deep expertise in commercial contracting, open source licensing, and US privacy and data security frameworks
• Experience negotiating with highly regulated customers (financial services, healthcare, defense, insurance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with open source compliance
• Experience in cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure
• Track record of developing legal talent in high-growth technology environments
