Lead Counsel - Marketing & Commercial

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted legal advisor to commercial, procurement, product and marketing leaders based in the UAE (Dubai) and regionally; provide pragmatic, commercial-focused legal counsel to support business growth.
• Lead negotiation, drafting and execution of complex, high-value commercial agreements, partnerships and vendor contracts.
• Partner with central, regional and product marketing teams to review and advise on marketing campaigns, promotions, endorsements and go-to-market strategies for UAE audiences.
• Manage, mentor and develop junior and mid-level lawyers on the Commercial, Marketing & IP legal teams; build capabilities and promote best practices.
• Monitor UAE and relevant international legal and regulatory developments affecting marketing, advertising, consumer protection, payments and crypto-related activities; implement compliance measures.
• Oversee external counsel relationships and budgets, ensuring effective and cost-efficient legal support for UAE operations.
• Standardise legal processes, playbooks and templates for commercial, marketing and IP matters to drive operational excellence.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership
