Lead Data Scientist / ML Engineer - Remote Role

Responsibilities

• Design and build hybrid ML models combining supervised learning, time‑series forecasting and NLP to extract insights from unstructured sources (PDFs, fund memos, regulatory filings).
• Implement model explainability using SHAP, LIME and feature‑attribution techniques to produce transparent, human‑readable outputs.
• Develop scalable data pipelines integrating off‑chain fundamentals, on‑chain activity and macro benchmarks with strong data lineage and freshness guarantees.
• Integrate and normalise data from third‑party providers and on‑chain sources; ensure coverage and signal quality.
• Build anomaly detection and reconciliation tools across issuer, administrator and blockchain datasets.
• Create evaluation and backtesting frameworks to measure accuracy, confidence, latency and data quality; backtest against historical NAVs and secondary‑market trades.
• Research and incorporate credit‑risk signals (CDS spreads, recovery rates, defaults) and continuous learning loops using live market data.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship models via APIs, SDKs and dashboards; support traders, curators and risk teams.
• Partner with CTO on model governance, transparency and AI ethics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in credit analytics, NAV valuation or structured credit
• Experience in quant research, fintech data science or tokenized asset analytics
• Hands‑on experience with NLP, vector databases and LLM / GenAI tools (OpenAI APIs, GPT‑4, LangChain, HuggingFace)
• Familiarity with orchestration, streaming systems and API delivery
