This is a BNPL platform that pursues a mission to give Venezuelans back the opportunity to access credit. Since our launch in 2022, we've been dedicated to promoting financial inclusion. Today we have more than 9 million active users, both consumers and merchants.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Engineering lead within a squad, guiding the team on architectural decisions and technical execution
• Collaborate closely with frontend technical leads to ensure smooth integration
• Lead the technical strategy for backend development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Own the architecture and design of backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Drive technical innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies
• Ensure system reliability through well-structured testing, monitoring, and logging strategies
• Mentor and coach backend developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Oversee deployments and production operations to ensure high availability
• Participate in hiring processes to attract and assess top engineering talent

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• 2+ years in a leadership or technical lead role
• Strong expertise in Node.js and NestJS (Express)
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (preferably GCP), and IaC
• Proficiency in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or PubSub
• Exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native development patterns
