Job description

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement a production-grade lane and route network mapping stack
  • Lead research, design, training, and validation of advanced neural architectures including object detection, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction
  • Drive major feature development from inception to deployment, including code reviews and mentorship
  • Own end-to-end data strategy, including curation, auto-labeling, and synthetic data pipelines
  • Develop robust metrics and evaluation frameworks for lane and route network accuracy
  • Collaborate with ML and Autonomy engineers to ensure seamless deployment to the vehicle fleet
  • Evaluate and innovate cutting-edge techniques like online vectorized HD map construction and foundation models

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of industry experience in ML/DL for mapping or computer vision at scale
  • Deep expertise in computer vision foundations (detection, segmentation, tracking, depth estimation)
  • Expertise in lane-level topology, intersection modeling, and road network graph construction
  • Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow, including distributed training and large-scale dataset handling
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ within Linux-based environments
  • Proven leadership in guiding technical roadmaps and mentoring engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in ML/DL for autonomous driving or ADAS systems
  • Experience with feature extraction from street-level and overhead imagery
  • Experience utilizing Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for auto-labeling
  • Expertise in ML optimization for real-time products (quantization, pruning)
  • Publication record at top-tier conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, or ICCV
