Job description
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, design, architecture, training and validation of advanced neural networks for vectorized mapping and multimodal fusion models
- Architect and implement a production-grade lane and route network mapping stack
- Drive major feature development from inception to deployment, including code reviews and mentorship
- Own the end-to-end data strategy for the mapping domain, including auto-labeling and synthetic data pipelines
- Develop robust metrics and evaluation frameworks for lane and route network accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate autonomy goals into software requirements
- Evaluate and innovate cutting-edge techniques like online vectorized HD map construction and Foundation Models
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- 7+ years of industry experience in ML/DL models for mapping or computer vision at scale
- Deep expertise in vectorized mapping networks, BEV-based scene representation, and temporal modeling
- Experience with cross-modal calibration and fusion (e.g., Camera-to-LiDAR)
- Proficiency with Transformers or Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)
- Strong understanding of HD maps and lane/road network geometry
- Expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow and distributed training
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Proven leadership in guiding technical roadmaps and mentoring engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in ML/DL for autonomous driving or ADAS systems
- Experience with self-supervised or semi-supervised learning
- Experience utilizing Vision-Language Models (VLMs) or Foundation Models
- Expertise in ML optimization for real-time products (quantization, pruning, or distillation)
- Publication record at top-tier conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, or ICCV
