Lead Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the Azure platform by modernizing cloud infrastructure and defining engineering standards.
• Guide production workload migrations into new Azure subscription and resource group structures with minimal disruption.
• Design scalable Azure architectures and establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform or Bicep.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Define governance across multiple Azure subscriptions, including RBAC, policies, and naming standards.
• Drive platform observability through Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Design secure identity and access strategies using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Mentor engineers and act as the technical authority for cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a Senior or Lead Engineering position.
• Proven experience migrating production Azure environments with minimal downtime.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and cloud governance.
• Experience designing serverless or event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry or Azure AI Services.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-104, or AZ-305.
• Familiarity with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and Landing Zone architecture.
