Lead Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design across core product areas (employee ordering, admin tooling, partner workflows) with ownership from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Define problem statements, hypotheses, and measurable success metrics in partnership with Product and Data teams.
• Plan and execute lean user research (interviews, usability studies, concept testing) and translate findings into personas, JTBD, and journey maps.
• Create prototypes at multiple fidelities and deliver production-ready specifications detailing responsive behavior, edge cases, empty states, loading states, and accessibility considerations.
• Evolve and maintain the design system in Figma (components, variants, tokens) and collaborate with engineering to ensure parity and governance.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG 2.1 AA) across product surfaces.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to validate implementation and ensure brand consistency across digital touchpoints.
• Mentor and guide a small team of designers, run critiques, provide coaching, and help scale design practices organization-wide.
• Operate with ownership and urgency, balancing speed with design rigor and clearly communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders.

• Experience in high-growth startups and fast iteration cycles
• Contributions to design systems or community participation
