Lead RCDD Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead structured cabling and communications system design for data center environments
• Leverage CAD/BIM tools to produce detailed engineering drawings including cable routing and equipment layouts
• Serve as the technical authority on RCDD requirements and provide quality oversight
• Manage and oversee smaller projects from concept through completion
• Collaborate directly with data center clients to ensure exceptional service
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support installation progress

Requirements

• Active RCDD certification
• 6+ years of CAD/BIM experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software
• Experience producing and reviewing complex engineering drawings
• Understanding of structured cabling standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NFPA)
• Ability to interpret technical specs and coordinate across disciplines
• Willingness to complete occasional job-site visits

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, or related field
• Experience with BIM 360 and Navisworks
