Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of two to five engineers
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and frontend applications for CMS HIOS
• Develop Java applications using the Spring Framework and build RESTful APIs
• Develop user interfaces using React and Angular.js
• Support PostgreSQL databases through SQL optimization and troubleshooting
• Manage applications hosted in AWS using EC2, ECS, S3, and CloudWatch
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and code reviews
• Support enterprise authentication and authorization via CMS Enterprise Portal and IDM

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a CMS Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and Maven
• Experience with React, Angular, and TypeScript
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL development
• Familiarity with AWS services and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Experience in an Agile environment
