Lead/Senior Backend Developer (TypeScript/Node.js)

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture across two large-scale microservice platforms
• Lead complex integrations with payment providers, card issuers, and blockchain networks
• Drive performance and scalability through caching and database optimization
• Shape technical direction and influence engineering standards
• Build and improve AI-powered processes using LLMs
• Contribute to back-office React-based admin dashboards
• Own features end-to-end from planning to production monitoring
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js
• 2+ years of production experience with NestJS
• Production blockchain experience (on-chain transactions, HD wallets, smart contracts)
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise including schema design and query optimization
• Hands-on microservices experience (RPC, pub/sub, message brokers)
• System design experience and ability to whiteboard complex architectures
• Strong testing discipline with Jest
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level
• Fluency in the Russian language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NATS JetStream
• Knowledge of observability tools like OpenTelemetry and Prometheus
• Kubernetes expertise (Kustomize/Helm)
• Fintech domain knowledge (PCI DSS, GDPR, KYC/AML)
• Experience mentoring developers
• React basics for back-office UIs
