Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate legal risks related to the introduction of new crypto products and services
• Provide proactive, solution-oriented legal advice to stakeholders to enable product launches that meet regulatory obligations
• Represent the Group before regulators, financial partners, and other external audiences
• Handle litigation and dispute resolution matters, including managing proceedings and advising on settlement strategies
• Review and draft user agreements, terms and conditions, and external-facing marketing materials
• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to assess regulations and establish company standards
• Select and manage external counsel for litigation and other legal matters

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in-house or at a reputable law firm
• Expertise in litigation and dispute resolution, including regulatory or commercial disputes
• Proven experience in an international or cross-border environment
• Prior product-related legal experience in technology or financial services
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Chinese-language word processing
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment and navigate legal ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working within a cryptocurrency or blockchain company
• Expertise in the payments industry or consumer-facing financial sectors
• Strong understanding of global financial services regulations
