License and Credentialing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Verify healthcare providers' education, licenses, certifications, training, work history, and professional references
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records to meet standards of accrediting bodies, government agencies, and insurance companies
• Ensure providers hold valid, active licenses in states they practice
• Maintain organized records to protect against legal, financial, and reputational risks
• Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, and malpractice insurance
• Maintain a streamlined credentialing process to minimize staffing gaps and improve patient access to care
• Work closely with partners to deliver thoughtful, timely, and personalized service
• Coach, mentor, or guide team members to develop others and lead by example

Requirements

• 3+ years in healthcare licensing and credentialing
• High School Diploma required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable making decisions and managing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Active CPCS Certification
