Linux Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) in physical and virtual environments
• Deploy and manage Linux-based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP
• Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python
• Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for provisioning
• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance
• Perform server hardening and vulnerability remediation using DISA STIGs
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience
• Proven experience managing Linux environments in multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
• Strong knowledge of CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite server
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor
• Experience with DISA STIGs hardening

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, OCI Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
