Loan Originator Assistant

Responsibilities

• Facilitate loan applications and coordinate documentation collection including credit reports and DU/LP/AUS
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Loan Originators, referral partners, and clients
• Manage a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage products
• Enter loan applications into the Loan Origination System (LOS)
• Review loan package paperwork for inconsistencies, omissions, and inaccurate income calculations
• Monitor loan progress and communicate status updates to all transaction parties
• Coordinate closing details, including final payments, rates, and cash to close figures
• Order appraisals and third-party services such as VOE and Title

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Loan Originator Assistant, Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Working knowledge of DU/DO, LP, and originating systems (Encompass preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong understanding of residential mortgage banking processes and loan products
• Exceptional follow-up, time management, and communication skills
• Availability to work CST/EST hours preferred
