M365 Architect SME

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy large-scale Microsoft 365 messaging and communication solutions
• Lead complex migrations from on-premises Exchange, Lotus Notes, GroupWise, and GSuite to Exchange Online
• Manage tenant-to-tenant migrations and SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online/OneDrive transitions
• Architect and maintain Exchange Hybrid Co-Existence within multi-Active Directory Forest topologies
• Implement and manage M365 security protocols including DLP, Defender, Conditional Access, and Azure Information Protection
• Ensure data sovereignty and compliance (GDPR) through Multi-Geo configurations
• Integrate mobile device management and unified endpoint management solutions (Intune, Airwatch, etc.) with Office 365
• Oversee email protection mechanisms including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and third-party hygiene products like Proofpoint or Mimecast

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in IT architecture and solution design
• Deep expertise in Exchange Online and migrating on-premises environments to the cloud
• Hands-on experience with migration tools such as BitTitan and Quest
• Proficiency in Azure Active Directory (AAD) and the Microsoft 365 collaboration stack
• Strong understanding of data immutability, legal holds, and retention requirements
• Experience with M365 security features including DLP, RMS/IRM, and ATP
• Proven ability to work within large-scale, multi-supplier organizational environments
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Experience with Azure Cloud scripting and automation
