Manager, BSA/AML Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead alert review, case investigation, and regulatory reporting functions across all BSA/AML risk footprints
• Manage a team of analysts responsible for SAR/CTR filings and partner referral dispositioning
• Oversee investigation of business-line-specific typologies including Merchant Acquiring, Issuing, Lending, and BaaS
• Maintain accountability for the alert-to-SAR lifecycle and ensure narrative quality and timely filing
• Provide investigative insights to inform AML Transaction Monitoring Coverage Assessments and rule-tuning
• Develop and maintain KPIs/KRIs such as alert volumes, aging, and false-positive rates
• Mentor and develop a team of BSA/AML analysts through training and performance management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Criminal Justice, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in BSA/AML investigations, financial crimes compliance, or fraud operations
• At least 2 years of experience focused on merchant acquiring, payment facilitation, or card network compliance
• Demonstrated experience managing alert/case production teams and SAR filing processes
• Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring risks and card network monitoring programs (Visa VFMP, Mastercard BRAM)
• Familiarity with Actimize, FCRM, or similar transaction monitoring platforms
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, FinCEN guidance, and FFIEC BSA/AML Manual

Preferred Qualifications

• CAMS or equivalent AML certification
• Advanced certifications such as CFE
