Manager, Community Partnerships

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for local and regional partnership building to support the Wikimedia Movement's 2030 goals.
• Drive the development, implementation, and continuous adaptation of regional partnership strategies aligned with Foundation priorities.
• Oversee all aspects of strategic partnership scoping, establishment, implementation, and reporting.
• Lead, manage, and support a geographically distributed team of 5 Regional Community Partnership Managers across multiple time zones.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mission-aligned strategic partners, movement organizations, and volunteer communities.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency across regional partnerships.
• Support the development of measurement, evaluation, and learning mechanisms to track program impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, nonprofit management, public administration) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in partnership development.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in people management.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-regional or multi-stakeholder partnership programs.
• Proven ability to lead and develop diverse, distributed teams using inclusive practices.
• Ability to travel internationally 3-5 times per year.
• Experience working in multicultural environments and balancing global frameworks with local needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience working specifically with volunteer-driven organizations.
• Familiarity with open knowledge, open source, and free culture movements.
• Fluency in additional languages.
