Manager of Accounting

PerfectServe is a leading provider of clinical communication and physician scheduling solutions in the health IT space. The company provides cloud-based solutions that enhance patient safety and reduce provider burnout by automating workflows and optimizing shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate financial statements
• Own revenue accounting for subscription and usage-based SaaS models under ASC 606
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals through coaching and mentorship
• Evaluate and enhance accounting workflows to support scalability and efficiency
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and prepare audit schedules
• Partner with FP&A, Sales, and Product teams to provide accounting guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years of direct people management experience
• Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) and deferred revenue
• Experience with modern accounting systems such as NetSuite
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA
• Experience at a high-growth SaaS or technology company
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics like ARR, churn, and net retention
• Experience scaling or rebuilding accounting processes
