Manager of Clinical Documentation Analysts

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of automated, self-service dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
• Hire, train, and mentor a team of business system analysts in technical skills and clinical/coding knowledge
• Partner with Physician Advisors and CDI Directors to present data findings to clinical staff
• Oversee the extraction and integration of data from EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), coding software, and billing databases
• Track and analyze core CDI KPIs, including Case Mix Index (CMI), CC/MCC capture rates, and SOI/ROM scores

Requirements

• Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience is required
• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
• Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• 3 years of leadership or management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Python, SQL, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Understanding of HL7, FHIR, or EHR data integration principles
• CDI and CCDS certification
