Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform cross-barrel market analysis using Vortexa’s proprietary seaborne trade flows and freight analytics data
  • Generate thought-leading insights, reports, and presentations for clients
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality and transform complex datasets into strategic insights
  • Present market views at client meetings and industry events, supporting market-related queries
  • Collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams to improve the analytics platform
  • Mentor and develop a team of analysts, aligning strategic direction with the global team
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to achieve strategic goals and support business growth

Requirements

  • Excellent cross-barrel knowledge of oil & gas markets and seaborne trade flows & freight markets
  • Experience within the Middle East and knowledge of regional markets preferred
  • Critical market analysis and thought leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, experienced in client presentations
  • High proficiency in data analysis, able to manipulate large datasets
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience in a global environment
  • Entrepreneurial, pioneering spirit, thrives in fast-paced, collaborative settings
  • Fluent in Excel; bonus: SQL, Python, PowerBi
