Responsibilities

• Teach 11-week live, synchronous online courses in Quantitative Reasoning, College Algebra, Calculus, or Statistics
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation
• Make real-world connections to help students understand the practical application of mathematical concepts
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
• Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community
• Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course and mentor them on grading and engagement
• Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit grades on time
• Collaborate with the Curriculum Operations team on course refinement

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field
• At least 3 years of college-level mathematics teaching experience
• Strong content knowledge in quantitative reasoning, algebra, and introductory statistics
• Ability to teach mathematical reasoning and interpretation rather than just procedural computation
• Experience making abstract concepts concrete through real-world applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts in multiple ways
• Available to commit 8–10 hours per week per course
