Job description
Responsibilities
- Respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors and conduct site inspections in a timely manner.
- Review and verify mechanical shop drawings against contract documents, project specifications, and local authority requirements.
- Inspect mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services systems.
- Identify and report non-compliant works and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and stakeholders.
- Monitor quality of installation and ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Maintain daily site records including inspection reports and photographic documentation.
- Issue surveillance reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
- Ensure coordination between mechanical works and other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical).
- Provide technical support to resolve mechanical construction issues on site.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection within the construction industry.
- Proven experience working on high-rise/tower projects in Dubai or the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and international mechanical standards.
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Good reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international mechanical standards.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
