Medical Biller

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for office visits, procedures, and treatments
• Ensure coding compliance with payer guidelines and Medicare regulations
• Prepare and submit clean claims electronically to insurance carriers
• Monitor claim status and ensure timely reimbursement
• Process insurance and patient payments accurately
• Code and bill allergy testing, immunotherapy, and biologic injections
• Maintain accurate patient and billing records within the practice management system
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology
• Experience with claim submission, payment posting, and denial management
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and practice management software
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Dedicated, secure, and HIPAA-compliant home office workspace
• Reliable high-speed internet access

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• Experience in Allergy & Asthma, Pulmonary, or ENT specialty practices
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, or CPB certification
• Experience coding respiratory procedures and biologic medications
• Previous remote medical billing experience
