Medical Billing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and elevate the medical billing team while setting clear KPIs
• Oversee end-to-end billing and collections across multiple states, ensuring compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer regulations
• Optimize high-volume daily claims to reduce denial rates and improve clean claim rates
• Design and implement standardized billing workflows and SOPs for new state launches
• Collaborate with Clinical, Care Operations, and Expansion teams to streamline workflows and ensure documentation compliance
• Track and report key financial metrics like DSO and denial trends to executive leadership

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in medical billing
• At least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Proven track record of managing billing operations across a multi-state footprint
• Experience in high-volume claims environments using EHR/EMR systems and clearinghouses
• Advanced proficiency with medical billing software and Excel/data skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Home Health, Hospice, or Community-Based Care billing
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-growing healthcare company helping launch new markets
