Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary research to monitor macroeconomic, political, and business developments across the MENA region, analyzing their implications for multinational companies.
- Support the creation of analysis and presentations for senior executives in multinational companies on business implications of regional economic and political changes.
- Write concise, impactful research deliverables for a senior executive audience.
- Develop research and analytical skills through exposure to different facets of market research.
- Participate in discussions with senior executives, observing the integration of macroeconomic analysis into business planning.
- Receive constructive feedback and coaching to ensure professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field, ideally Economics.
- Exceptional English communication skills (ability to distill complex topics for non-specialists).
- Strong economics knowledge, demonstrated through coursework or practical experience.
- Knowledge of key MENA markets and current socio-political and economic developments in the region.
- Research experience (academic or professional), including hypothesis testing, structuring projects, and primary/secondary data gathering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proven ability to cover a variety of topics, including unfamiliar ones.
- Familiarity with quantitative economic analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working proficiency in Arabic (French is also desirable).
