Microsoft Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity architecture, hybrid sync, Conditional Access, and identity governance using Entra ID
• Integrate applications via SSO (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning
• Investigate and remediate identity risks using Entra ID Protection and audit logs
• Design and implement sensitivity labels, DLP, and retention policies via Microsoft Purview
• Support eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management, and AI data security readiness
• Configure device compliance and app deployments using Intune
• Support Defender XDR across cloud and hybrid environments

Requirements

• 2–5 years in IT administration, identity management, or security operations
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory
• Proficiency with Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and Entra Connect
• Knowledge of SAML, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, Kerberos, and LDAP
• Experience implementing Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, or eDiscovery)
• Basic PowerShell scripting for automation (Microsoft Graph PowerShell)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Active Directory design and migrations
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
• Azure infrastructure and security expertise
• Experience with SharePoint Online, Teams Voice, or Power BI
• Knowledge of Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry
