Migration Deployment Specialist – Scheduling

Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration of batch scheduling workloads to IBM Z Workload Scheduler
• Analyze legacy scheduling definitions from CA-7, CA ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control-M, and ASG Zeke/Zebb and map them to IBM scheduler structures
• Execute parallel tracking, schedule validation, dependency analysis, and issue resolution
• Monitor workload execution using TSO/ISPF and IBM scheduler interfaces
• Provide technical guidance and training to scheduling teams and operational staff

Requirements

• Strong mainframe background in OS/390 or z/OS
• Deep hands-on experience with IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS)
• Hands-on migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV scheduling platforms (CA-7, CA ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control-M, or ASG Zeke/Zebb)
• Strong TSO/ISPF editing skills and expert-level understanding of JCL
• Experience with dependency analysis, schedule validation, report review, and iterative parallel tracking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• REXX programming skills
• Workload Automation Programming Language (WAPL)
• Dynamic Workload Console familiarity
