Network Automation Software Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) pipeline from bare-metal switch boot to production-ready status
• Build intent-based config generation using GitOps-style deployment and pre/post-change validation
• Establish network validation and pre-deployment testing using snapshot or digital-twin methods
• Build streaming telemetry and metrics/logging pipelines using gNMI and OpenConfig
• Instrument GPU network health including RoCE, optics, link errors, and BGP/EVPN state
• Hire, mentor, and grow a small team of software engineers and SREs
• Set technical direction and ensure clean integration with the broader platform stack

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience building network automation at scale (hyperscaler, large cloud, or AI-infrastructure)
• Experience building or contributing to a ZTP/device-provisioning system end-to-end
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python and/or Go
• Hands-on depth with datacenter Clos fabrics, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and RoCEv2/RDMA
• Fluency with gNMI/gNOI, OpenConfig/YANG, NETCONF, and source-of-truth systems like NetBox or Nautobot
• Experience with observability pipelines such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Kafka
• Comfort running services on Kubernetes and containers
• Proven leadership experience managing a team or technical platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPU/AI training or inference clusters
• Familiarity with the AMD networking ecosystem or Ethernet-based RDMA fabrics
• Experience with whitebox networking and SONiC at scale
• Knowledge of network validation tools like Batfish or containerlab
