Job description
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate network connectivity for trading infrastructure across global colocation sites and regions
- Deliver end-to-end network setups including cross-connects, routing, validation testing, and go-live readiness
- Investigate and resolve complex network issues affecting latency, jitter, packet loss, or reliability
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in collaboration with systems and hardware engineers
- Support timing-sensitive networking (PTP/NTP) through bring-up, validation, and monitoring
- Improve operational repeatability through automation, templates, and tooling
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to support network operations and incident response
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production networks, Linux, and NGFW
- Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, L2/L3 design)
- Strong understanding of how networks impact system and application performance
- Ability to work end-to-end and collaborate across different technical domains
- Automation mindset with scripting experience in Python or Bash
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in low-latency or performance-sensitive environments such as trading or exchanges
- Experience with colocation and provider connectivity (cross-connects, optics, acceptance testing)
- Experience with cloud connectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect)
- Knowledge of PTP/NTP and timing-related failure modes
- CCNP-level knowledge (SP, DC, or Enterprise) or equivalent hands-on experience
