NSQIP Surgical Clinical Reviewer

Responsibilities

• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records
• Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries or measure data repositories
• Prioritize and meet tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks and team requests
• Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines
• Maintain responsibility for keeping PHI secure and confidential

Requirements

• Active SCR certification
• RN credentials
• Direct clinical data abstraction experience within NSQIP or NSQIP Pediatric registry within the last year
• Exposure to multiple EMR systems and clinical databases
• Direct clinical experience
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
