Responsibilities

• Provide online tutoring via a virtual classroom using video, audio, chat, and whiteboard tools
• Utilize the Socratic method to foster student independence and critical thinking skills
• Support students in American Sign Language (ASL), Humanities, Writing, or Math
• Maintain responsiveness to session requests

Requirements

• Subject matter expertise or advanced knowledge in ASL, Humanities, Writing, or Math
• Access to reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, distraction-free environment
• Reliable laptop or desktop with camera and microphone functionality
• Ability to tutor a minimum of 2-5 hours per week during fall and spring semesters
• Ability to receive payments via PayPal
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in teaching methodology or instruction
• Experience tutoring at the college level (e.g., math lab, writing center)
• History of excellent academic performance in undergraduate or graduate studies
