Online home-based ESL teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide online ESL training to Japanese learners using specialized methods and materials
• Prepare and study teaching materials prior to each lesson
• Provide corrective feedback to students during lessons
• Create detailed lesson memos at the end of each session

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or undergraduate status (experience in ESL teaching is a plus)
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for teaching
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 21 hours per week
• Dual core processor 1GHz+ (Intel Core i3/i5/i7 or AMD equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 2GB RAM (4GB recommended) and 60GB free hard disk space
• Noise-cancelling headset and a high-definition webcam
• 3 Mbps minimum wired DSL internet connection (no wireless or signal-based connections)

Preferred Qualifications

• TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, TEYL, or LET certification
• Experience teaching Japanese learners, IELTS, Writing, TOEFL, or TOEIC
