Operating Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of Linux and Windows operating systems (L2 & L3)
• Plan maintenance activities including server firmware upgrades, part changes, and rack maintenance
• Support automation and task delegation to improve efficiency
• Analyze health, consumption, performance, and capacity reports to generate recommendations
• Manage capacity, server sourcing, hardware assembly, and logical resource licensing
• Diagnose and resolve medium to high complexity incidents (L2/L3)
• Execute non-standard changes, requirements, and platform hardening for security
• Manage hardware and software assets related to operating systems
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage and follow up on open cases

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
• Proficiency with operating systems including Redhat, Windows, SUSE, and Debian
• Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware
• Knowledge of backup solutions such as IDPA and Veeam Backup
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix
• Proficiency with automation and scripting tools including Ansible, The Foreman, and ELK
• Familiarity with DELL and HP hardware
