Operational Compliance Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for NERC O&P compliance activities (GO) covering renewable utility scale PV/BESS plants
• Manage PRC maintenance/testing programs, relay/AVR setting validation, and model data validations
• Support NERC CIP obligations including system classification, governance, and cyber security incident response
• Monitor new compliance requirements and support technical SMEs during implementation
• Lead regulatory filings and submissions for NERC, ISO, and PUC
• Design and manage internal assessments and investigate potential noncompliance violations
• Develop and deliver training for plant staff on O&P and CIP requirements
• Cultivate relationships with regulators, Reliability Coordinators, and ISOs
• Direct the development of Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and manage internal audit preparation
• Support compliance onboarding for new renewable assets during construction and commissioning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or similar discipline
• 5+ years of experience in NERC compliance and the electric regulatory industry
• Familiarity with NERC O&P and CIP Reliability Standards
• Knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, CPUC, and PUCT
• Strong project management and collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team of compliance professionals
