Responsibilities

• Become an expert at flying proprietary weather balloons by managing altitude and ballast to navigate wind fields
• Develop specialized knowledge to make rapid judgment calls regarding weather avoidance and forecast uncertainties
• Correct flight paths to reach specific locations, such as the eye of a hurricane
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve flight control processes and hardware capabilities

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. defense operations support
• Ability to learn independently in an evolving environment
• Comfort making judgment calls in high-pressure, uncertain environments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work unusual hours, including weekends
• Reliable internet connection
