Responsibilities

• Become an expert at flying proprietary weather balloons by managing altitude and ballast
• Develop specialized knowledge to make real-time operational calls regarding weather and hardware
• Navigate balloons to specific locations by understanding wind fields and forecast uncertainties
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve flight control processes

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Ability to learn independently in an evolving environment
• Comfort making judgment calls in high-pressure, uncertain environments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work unusual hours, including weekends
• Reliable internet connection
