Oracle Database Support

Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administration

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database 19c in secure government production, staging, and development environments
• Manage database lifecycle activities in accordance with government change-management and release procedures
• Perform proactive database performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization
• Ensure database stability, reliability, and long-term supportability

High Availability, Backup & Recovery

• Design, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN
• Perform and document regular recovery drills and failover testing to meet government continuity requirements
• Support high-availability architectures (Data Guard and/or RAC, where applicable)

Data Replication & Integration

• Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for secure, real-time, and batch data replication
• Monitor replication health, latency, and data consistency across environments
• Troubleshoot GoldenGate issues with minimal impact to critical government services

Security, Compliance & Auditing

• Administer Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall to support regulatory compliance, security monitoring, and forensic analysis
• Implement database security controls aligned with government security standards and policies
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, password policies, encryption, and auditing
• Support internal and external security audits, compliance reviews, and vulnerability assessments
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and frameworks IT security policies, data protection laws, and audit mandates

Monitoring, Automation & OEM

• Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for continuous monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, and compliance reporting
• Develop and maintain automated scripts for monitoring, maintenance, and reporting tasks
• Produce regular health, performance, and compliance reports for stakeholders and auditors

Operating System & Infrastructure Support

• Administer Oracle databases on Oracle Linux platforms
• Support Oracle databases running on Oracle Linux virtual machines
• Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to harden OS and database environments

Documentation, Governance & Support

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks
• Follow government IT governance, incident management, and escalation processes
• Provide production support for critical systems, including after-hours or on-call support as required
• Participate in system accreditation, certification, and authority-to-operate (ATO) processes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Computers)
• 6 - 12 yrs. experience
• Any GCC National, Indian
• IT - Software Services industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle Database
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Linux and Linux-based virtualized environments
• Experience supporting highly secure, regulated, or government IT environments
• Strong knowledge of database security, auditing, and compliance requirements
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard and/or RAC
• Scripting experience (Shell, SQL, PL/SQL)
• Familiarity with government security frameworks
• Experience supporting systems requiring high availability and zero data loss
