Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare first-pass redlines for commercial contracts including health plan service agreements and vendor contracts
• Identify and flag key issues, unusual terms, and risk areas for attorney review
• Manage and maintain the contract lifecycle in SpotDraft, including intake workflows and template libraries
• Maintain corporate records, entity documents, and governance materials
• Partner with business teams to gather deal terms and ensure contracts reflect commercial intent
• Coordinate with compliance on regulatory research and policy updates
• Manage document flow and information exchange for outside counsel engagements

Requirements

• 5+ years of paralegal experience with substantial commercial contract drafting
• Healthcare industry experience, ideally including payor contracts or provider agreements
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA
• Working familiarity with AKS, Stark Law, and healthcare data privacy requirements
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent training
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SpotDraft CLM
• Legal operations experience building or improving contract management systems
• Prior experience in a small in-house legal team
• Familiarity with ACO structures, MSSP, or similar CMS programs
• Health plan contracting experience (Medicare Advantage or Medicaid managed care)
