Job description

Responsibilities

  • Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population through outbound phone calls
  • Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program
  • Communicate the benefits of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program to eligible patients
  • Access and review patient EMR and chart notes to ensure familiarity with medical conditions
  • Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items
  • Identify necessary supplies like sharps containers, needles, and syringes
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and protect company values

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related role
  • Prior customer service or outbound call experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal communication and phone skills
  • Ability to build rapport and empathize with patients
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • National certification from PTCB or ExCPT
  • Experience navigating EMR systems
