Job description

Responsibilities

  • Handle billing-related issues, inquiries, insurance questions, and complaints
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Assist patients in understanding financial obligations and payment options
  • Utilize Zendesk to resolve patient billing inquiries
  • Participate in audits to detect billing discrepancies and trends
  • Assist patients with verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Manage intake procedures, including healthcare and insurance forms, and collecting payments
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines to safeguard patient Protected Health Information (PHI)

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of patient or customer experience
  • 2 years of Zendesk experience
  • 2 years of EMR experience (Athena preferred)
  • 2 years of Google Workspace experience
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 12pm - 8:30pm CST

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of billing experience
