Payment Posting and AR Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and accurately post insurance and patient payments with precision and efficiency
• Resolve auto-posted ERA errors on a daily basis
• Import and upload payment files from clearinghouses and payer websites
• Manually post payments received via bank lockbox deposits, facility deposits, and RTA checks
• Perform necessary adjustments, billing corrections, auditing, and account analysis
• Assist with month-end reconciliation and closing processes
• Facilitate payment batch processing and collaborate with billing staff
• Process remote bank deposits and manually post cash receipts
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies to maximize electronic payment adoption
• Provide AR support including researching outstanding insurance claims and submitting appeals

Requirements

• Knowledge of payment posting processes including adjustments, write-offs, and refunds
• Familiarity with medical billing, payer policies, insurance laws, and medical terminology
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer
• Ten-key proficiency with speed and accuracy
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior medical billing or Accounts Receivable experience
