Responsibilities

• Analyze EOBs and post manual payments
• Identify payers with payment posting issues
• Accurately correct payment posting errors
• Investigate claims with payment discrepancies, denials, missing payments, or processing issues
• Research payer portals to determine claim status and identify root causes of payment delays
• Contact commercial insurance carriers and government payers via phone to investigate claims
• Monitor payer trends and identify recurring issues impacting payment accuracy
• Document all payment-related activities and communications thoroughly

Requirements

• 2+ years experience with revenue cycle management and billing for commercial and Medicaid plans
• Experience with payment posting
• Ability to interpret EOBs, ERAs, claim statuses, and insurance payment information
• Experience working with all commercial and government payor portals
• Knowledge of denials and corrections
• Minimum availability of 40 hours/week during core business hours
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
