Persian Interpreter - Remote VRI/OPI

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Apply specialized vocabulary for healthcare and medical contexts after training
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients with complete accuracy
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue new certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native fluency in Persian and fluent English
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Awareness of legal terminology preferred
• Healthcare industry certifications preferred (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• High school diploma in native language
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Windows 10+ computer with dual core 2 GHz processor (Intel Core i5 or superior)
• 8 GB RAM minimum, operating in "High Performance" mode
• Wired ethernet connection (Wi-Fi not allowed)
• Minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds
• USB wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth/wireless)
• No Chromebooks, Macs, tablets, or mobile devices permitted
