Pharmacy Refill Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated support to pharmacy staff and Liaisons to ensure accurate filling and delivery of specialty medications
• Make outbound patient refill calls and manage inbound pharmacy inquiries
• Coordinate medication refills including data entry and claim adjudication troubleshooting
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians
• Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items
• Document all work and manage relevant data using database applications
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and quality

Requirements

• State registration as a pharmacy technician
• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• National certification as a CPhT or equivalent
• 5-8 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience working with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals in a medical clinic setting
