Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electronic, faxed, and verbal prescriptions via routing to appropriate channels
• Review and update patient insurance using payer portals and phone resources
• Determine prior authorization needs and troubleshoot denials or escalations
• Utilize reroute best practices for orders with state changes, insurance exceptions, or pharmacy rejections
• Navigate operational platforms including BestRx, Ops Dash, Partner Dash, and RelayHealth
• Document process notes with clear routing details, claim updates, and actions taken
• Communicate with partner pharmacies, provider offices, and insurance carriers to resolve issues
• Collaborate with internal teams to escalate orders based on system outages or stock issues

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (Specialty, Mail Order, PBM, or Retail preferred)
• Working knowledge of insurance claim rejections, prior authorizations, and override codes
• Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and drug classifications
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and FSA/HSA processing
• Ability to work Monday – Friday shifts between 6:00 am – 7:00 pm MST

Preferred Qualifications

• PTCB certification
