Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Proactively coordinate medication refills including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication
• Make outbound patient refill phone calls and complete the patient refill request
• Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries regarding prescription drug plan coverage and fulfillment
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and/or clinicians as appropriate
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, such as hazardous or refrigerated medications
• Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and operational enhancements

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license (Required)
• 1-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience and adjudicating claims
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to work in a distraction-free remote environment with high-speed internet
• Ability to sit at a workstation with two monitors for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• National CPhT certification or equivalent
• Experience managing refills or specialty pharmacy
• Experience working with clinical care teams
• Previous experience working remotely
