Physician

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants in accordance with state regulations
• Deliver virtual medical care via phone, video, and messaging following company guidelines and policies
• Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other healthcare providers across various service lines
• Ensure compliance with all applicable medical laws and regulations

Requirements

• Board-certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Fluency in Spanish
• Active medical license in Tennessee AND at least two of the following states: MO, MS, AL, FL
• 3+ years of experience in an outpatient family or internal medicine practice
• Strong understanding of risk adjustment methodologies, including HCC coding principles
• Familiarity with HEDIS measures and quality improvement processes
• Ability to provide 20-29 hours of coverage per week (minimum 4-hour shifts)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of telemedicine experience
• Previous experience supervising Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
• IMLCC compact Physician license or eligibility to apply
