Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure for a range of applications and services, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and management of AWS resources.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce and implement security best practices and compliance measures, including identity and access management, data protection, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and implement improvements to system performance, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline deployments, enabling rapid and stable delivery of updates.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, data, and operations teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support the full lifecycle deployment of AI and analytics workloads.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, implementation-focused documentation for system architecture, deployment processes, workflows, and configuration standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AWS Platform Engineer or similar, with strong background implementing and managing cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC), with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience implementing and managing containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and an understanding of microservices architecture.
• Ability to implement and support DevOps practices and tooling, including CI/CD systems and platforms such as Jenkins, Git, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of translating design into implementation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and hands-on adoption of new technologies and best practices in cloud computing and infrastructure.
